How to Add to MemberPress Memberships based on WooCommerce Order Status – MemberPress WooCommerce Plus

When selling memberships, it’s common to give immediate access to the membership’s content after the purchase is completed.

However, in WooCommerce, the order status is determined by the type of product sold. The order can be, for example, “Pending”, “Processing” or “Completed”.

This means that if a customer buys a product that includes both a membership and a physical item, if the order status is “Pending” or “Processed”, the member will only gain access to the membership’s content after the seller marks the order as “Completed”.

With MemberPress WooCommerce Plus, you can choose when to add a member to a membership. To do this, go to the Order Settings section in the plugin’s settings tab.

You can select “Order Status Completed” to add the member to the membership only when the order status is “Completed”, or “Order Status Pending” to add the member to the membership even if the order status is “Processing”.

Note that you can also opt to mark every membership product as “Completed” automatically.
